Eric Burns is an experienced sports massage therapist based in Andover, Hampshire. With over a decade of hands-on clinical experience, Eric helps active individuals, athletes, and everyday clients relieve pain, recover from injury, and improve movement through tailored sports massage treatments.
His approach combines advanced soft tissue techniques with a clear understanding of biomechanics, ensuring every session is focused, effective, and specific to the individual.
Eric holds professional qualifications in sports and remedial massage and continues to build on his knowledge through ongoing education and clinical practice.

BTEC Level 5 Soft Tissue Therapy & Sports and Remedial Massage
BTEC Level 3 Body Massage
Training and mentorship under Mel Cash at the London School of Sports Massage
Through this education, Eric developed expertise in advanced techniques such as Soft Tissue Release (STR), Energy Muscle Techniques (EMT), and movement-based assessment to address the root cause of pain rather than just symptoms.
Eric’s journey into sports massage began through his own involvement in martial arts and physical training. Experiencing injury first-hand sparked a deep interest in how the body moves, compensates, and recovers.
This led him to pursue professional training in soft tissue therapy, where he developed a strong appreciation for combining manual treatment with education, movement awareness, and long-term injury prevention. Today, Eric works with clients ranging from desk-based professionals to athletes, helping them move more comfortably and confidently.
Eric currently practises in Andover, working from a clinical setting alongside other healthcare professionals. This environment allows him to collaborate when needed and take a well-rounded approach to treatment and recovery.
Clients visit Eric for help with issues such as muscle tightness, sports injuries, postural pain, training-related niggles, and general aches that interfere with daily life or performance.
